Pretty much this exact thing happened to me while I was snowboarding the other day. This chick came from behind me and tried to pass me as I was about to go off a sidehit which resulted in her launching off it by mistake. Then she started screaming at me and wanted to call patrol to take my pass away!
Some people are so stupid when they are the ones who actually cause the accident and then blame others because they are being out of control.
This is my whole story that I want the biking community to know what type of company Marin are:
I showed this to Marin at Crankworx Whistler and they really wanted me to take the bike away, so people wouldn't see it. I told them that I didn't ave an original receipt and they said that it would be fine and that they would give me a crash replacement for 200 dollars. So I was stoked! But when I e-mailed them they said that I had to have an original receipt and that it would be 700 dollars plus HST and shipping!! It also doesn't come with a shock so I would have to buy a new one.
So all together it would cost me approx 1100 dollars not the 200 that they told me at crankworx. I understand that the majority of times you do need a receipt but when the guy at crankworx said that I didn't need one its ridiculously annoying. I cannot believe the bad customer service provided by Marin. I hope that these pics and my story will put off people from buying Marin!!
I was riding in Whistler and landed from a jump and the bike just folded as you can see in the pic. The bike was in good condition and I wasn't even riding hard! So annoying! Don't buy Marin!! I spoke to them as Crankworx in Whistler (at their tent with the bike) and they said that they were going to sort me out with a new frame for 200 dollars and then when I e-mailed them to follow up they offered me nothing. I hate Marin so much now! About Us
